Get Involved with the Chelsea Hicks Foundation!
Volunteers are the heart of our organization, and there are many ways for volunteers to make a difference. Whether you want to visit the hospital each month or once a year, or you prefer to stuff envelopes or sort costumes at our warehouse, every volunteer is valued.
Chelsea’s Closet visits Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Volunteers help with set up and clean up, help children select costumes and accessories, and assist with crafts, snacks and the costume parade. You may volunteer as often as your schedule allows.
Note: Hospitals require volunteers must be age 18 or older. A one-hour training is required, in addition to proof of vaccination.
Our largest fundraising event, the Masquerade Ball, is fueled by volunteer power. We seek volunteers to serve on the planning committee, to help secure items for the silent and oral auctions, or to help on the day of the event with a variety of functions: set up, take down, check in and check out, greeters, photo booth attendants and wine wall staffers.
If your company fosters volunteerism, consider sending a team to support CHF. Our corporate partners have been especially helpful with sorting costumes at our warehouse and with providing assistance at our annual Masquerade Ball.
The Chelsea Hicks Foundation was created to help children, and kids are some of our biggest ambassadors. There are many ways for children to contribute to CHF: hold a costume drive, donate money from car washes or cookie sales, help at the warehouse or assist with craft prep work prior to hospital visits (children under the age of 18 are not eligible to volunteer at the hospital). If your scout troop, sports team, church youth or school group or honors program is interested in learning more, please contact our volunteer coordinator.
